Subject: STEP v2.2.7 Released

Dear {username},

STEP v2.2.7 has been released! <a href=https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/11>Download the file</a> and check out the <a href=https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/Changelog/2.2.7>changelog</a> for details on how to update.

With this release STEP:Core is nearly finalized. This was the first step to reaching our 2.3.0 goal. STEP:Extended also achieved some progress with many new mods added, a few moved to different sections and several being dropped entirely. View the changelog for complete details.

The next few releases will focus on refinement of the two Guides; STEP:Core and STEP:Extended. By the next release, STEP:Core should be in its final stage and STEP:Extended should have further refinements in regards to mod selection and arrangement; as well as, incorporating some of the Skyrim Revisited's tweaks for mod cleaning and conflict resolution.

<strong>STEP 2.3.0 Overview</strong>
Our v2.3.0 major release is a step closer with the 2.2.7 release. Version 2.3.0 will be our first iteration of STEP with Packs (optional mod compilations that follow a specific theme and function). Packs do not necessarily adhere to the STEP Mandate, so this will be of interest to more advance modders or those that want to expound and/or improve upon the vanilla Skyrim experience.

One additional feature of this change will be the inclusion of many of Neovalen's methods and mods used in his project, Skyrim Revisited, which can be thought of itself as an extensive "Pack" of sorts. We cannot present too much detail for 2.3.0 at this time, since we are still in the planning and development stages, but it will represent the next major evolution of STEP. What's more is that 2.3.0 will not abandon the ideology of the STEP Mandate or significantly change STEP so much as it will mark the beginning of the expansion of STEP beyond the vanilla Mandate. Thus, the next iteration will bring many more options in addition to the enhanced vanilla experience for which STEP has come to be known.

Regards,
The STEP Team
