Tick green.png ALL asset replacers belong in Core. ~z929669 Ixian Insignia.png Talk 22:46, April 1, 2014 (EDT)

Chimneys for Skyrim[edit | edit source]

This will be dropped. Hearthfire Chimneys for Skyrim will replace it in Core.

Lanterns Of Skyrim[edit | edit source]

We seem to differ on this mod's inclusion. Need some others to weigh in on this. Why hasn't Z given any opinions? EssArrBee (talk) 01:19, April 1, 2014 (EDT)

Cross red.png Since when does Skyrim have lanterns along every road? I get the lighting issue, but isn't that the reason for torches? DoubleYou (talk) 23:54, February 25, 2014 (EST)
Tick yellow.png I love this mod because it adds atmosphere to the game; however, it doesn't make a lot of sense to be in Skyrim. So I'm riding the fence for now. Techangel85 (talk) 22:52, February 27, 2014 (EST)
Cross red.png I only like the lanterns in town, the road lanterns just seem out of place. Essarrbee (talk) 03:21, February 28, 2014 (EST)
Tick yellow.png Lanterns in a town/village and on roads close to any town/village and near inns seem very reasonable, but other lanterns don't that are far from any community or business (inn or tavern). Unfortunately NPCs use vanilla lighting and don't need torches/lanterns and can easily travel at night, although recently there is a mod that might fix this (I haven't tested it). Currently the only menu choices are lanterns in villages and lanterns on roads; I'd like a third choice for roads near towns/cities (and establishments if feasible). What's the best way to handle this game limitation? Perhaps the author will be willing to have a version with some of the lanterns removed Kelmych (talk) 15:38, February 28, 2014 (EST)
Tick yellow.png Isn't it possible to turn off lanterns outside of cities? I say 'no' to lanterns everywhere and 'yes' in and around cities only ~z929669 Ixian Insignia.png Talk 22:56, April 1, 2014 (EDT)

Re-Defined Dungeons[edit | edit source]

I think this should be put in Core. Is there a reason that it isn't? All of the mod I've seen so far looks like "enhanced vanilla" textures to me. TechAngel85 (talk) 23:05, March 8, 2014 (EST)
I concur. EssArrBee (talk) 01:19, April 1, 2014 (EDT)

Tick green.png (roughly 50% of the textures overwrite vanilla textures and are not overwritten by mods) Kelmych (talk) 02:12, February 28, 2014 (EST)

Tick yellow.png Only if not overwritten by other mods already in STEP either up or downstream ... I don't have it loaded, so I cannot check ~z929669 Ixian Insignia.png Talk 22:56, April 1, 2014 (EDT)
Only The Beauty of Skyrim - Dungeons is overwriting anything from this mod. So if all replacers end up in Core then there is no reason this one can't go in either. This mod overwrites a few textures from SRO. TechAngel85 (talk) 18:51, April 2, 2014 (EDT)

Cross red.png - Let's pick one dungeon mod or support a strong argument for a proper compilation. ~z929669 Ixian Insignia.png Talk 22:56, April 1, 2014 (EDT)
Most of the compares on already in the mod threads. It'll only take a quick look as to why there is a compilation of certain areas and the discussions for them. No need to redo what has already been done. I think if we "simplify" the guide too much then we'll end up losing some quality. Compilations is also how we've always done it; taking the best from multiple mods and showcasing it. I think the high praises we've been getting from users is also proof enough that we're doing it right. TechAngel85 (talk) 18:56, April 2, 2014 (EDT)

Cross red.png Changing as I agree with Z. DoubleYou (talk) 15:59, April 6, 2014 (EDT)
Cross red.png Depends. I think we should keep it; however, if we end up recommending an ENB, then we should judge it based on how it looks within the ENB. Techangel85 (talk) 22:52, February 27, 2014 (EST)
